I am a fan of most of Belinda’s solo work, but “I Get Weak” is the one that I return to most often. It’s all slick and honey-coated but underneath the sleek, velvety pop touches of the era, Carlisle writhes recklessly with giddy infatuation. Maybe this is what she does best.
